The Greater Santo Domingo Consortium announced the abandonment of the waste treatment plant project in La Cuaba, following an agreement between the government and the company Oak House. This decision, welcomed by residents, puts an end to several months of mobilization against the establishment of the project. Authorities are committed to finding an alternative site to meet the waste management needs in the region.
