The Technological Institute of Santo Domingo is facing a leadership crisis following the unexpected resignation of its rector, Arturo del Villar, before the end of his first year in office. Vice-rector Alliet Ortega will serve as interim while a replacement is sought. Del Villar, who was elected in November 2025, will continue to support the institution as an assistant until the end of 2026.
