The national police shot dead two individuals during separate incidents in Santiago and Moca. The victims, described as notorious criminals, were wanted for thefts. One was killed after opening fire on officers during an attempted arrest in a hotel, while the other was shot after firing at police in the street. The bodies have been sent for autopsy.
