The Dominican Republic recorded a decrease in monetary poverty to 17.3% in 2025, marking a notable improvement compared to the previous year. This decline allowed more than 172,000 people to escape poverty. Despite moderate economic growth, various factors such as remittances and labor market resilience have supported this positive evolution of social indicators.
