Residents of La Ciénega, in the north of Santiago, blocked a bridge this Wednesday to denounce the pollution of the Jacagua River. They are demanding urgent intervention from the authorities, stating that sewage and waste are being dumped there, causing unpleasant odors and threatening aquatic life. The protesters are also calling for guarantees before the construction of new real estate projects in the region.
