The director of the Archivo General de la Nación, Roberto Cassá, described the criticisms from the Asociación Dominicana de Profesores regarding primary school history textbooks as unjustified. He stated that these works, developed by a multidisciplinary team, adhere to the current curriculum and cover a variety of topics, from prehistory to contemporary issues. Cassá also dismissed the allegations of distorting Dominican history, calling them false.
