The national police conducted operations this weekend in the provinces of Barahona, Bahoruco, and Pedernales, resulting in the seizure of four firearms and the recovery of another, presumed stolen. Narcotic substances, alcoholic beverages, and smuggled cigarettes were also intercepted. Several arrests took place, and the authorities placed the evidence under the control of the public prosecutor's office for legal proceedings.
