A 39-year-old man sustained serious injuries this Sunday afternoon at Gatine dock in Pointe-à-Pitre after falling into the water. Emergency services were alerted for a drowning. According to initial testimonies, the individual had just come out of the water when he fell from the pontoon. He was rescued by swimmers before being transported to the CHU in critical condition by firefighters and the SMUR.
