A swim turned tragic on the beach of Bois-Jolan in Sainte-Anne, where a 60-year-old woman suffered a near-drowning. Alerted at 12:13 PM, rescuers quickly took charge of the victim, who was conscious but in serious condition. She was airlifted to the Guadeloupe University Hospital for urgent care.
