André François Giroux has been appointed ambassador and permanent representative of Canada to the Organization of American States in Washington. He will succeed Stuart Savage, as announced by the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Giroux recently completed his term as Canada's ambassador to Haiti. This appointment is part of the continuity of Canadian diplomatic relations in the Americas.
