Seniors Month is celebrated in Jamaica from September 1 to October 8, under the theme 'Honouring a Golden Legacy, Shaping a Bold Future'. This year, the National Council for Seniors is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Numerous activities are planned, including a spelling competition and a walk. Awareness of aging and cultural events are also on the agenda, culminating in an awards ceremony on October 8.
