Guyana and the United States have established a framework for migration cooperation allowing Guyana to host a limited number of qualified migrants selected by the International Organization for Migration. The program, funded by the United States, aims to ensure the voluntary and temporary return of individuals while respecting their rights. The integration of migrants will be supported by the IOM, without the Guyanese government bearing the costs.
