The National Solid Waste Management Authority has inaugurated a new temporary center in George’s Plain, Jamaica, to improve waste management. This site, built for over 29 million dollars, is equipped with a solar system and 24-hour surveillance. The Minister of Local Government emphasized that this facility will reduce the travel time of collection trucks, thus facilitating garbage collection and limiting illegal dumping.
