The government is addressing the relocation of displaced families from Cooper’s Pen, Trelawny, with survey work for resettlement underway. The Prime Minister has announced joint efforts between several ministries to tackle the issues of illegal land occupation. More than 300 modular housing solutions will be deployed for the affected individuals, amid a shortage of affordable housing across the country.
