Central Kingston is experiencing a notable decrease in crime, transforming the area into a safer place. The Member of Parliament and Minister of State, Hon. Donovan Williams, announced that only four murders have been recorded since January, compared to around fifty per year previously. This improvement has allowed churches to remain open, nightlife to resume, and children to play in parks. Several initiatives, including the Special Operations Zone, have contributed to this positive situation.
