Since the end of April, Martinique has been experiencing a prolonged drought that severely affects all agricultural sectors. In response to this crisis, a crisis unit has been established during a meeting at the prefecture. The goal is to expedite the agricultural disaster procedure to allow for the rapid release of national aid. Farmers, already in difficulty, are at the center of the assistance measures, while emergency measures are expected soon.
