In Martinique, 80% of businesses founded in the first half of 2018 are still operational five years after their creation, a rate higher than that observed in mainland France. Companies demonstrate better sustainability than individual businesses, particularly in the retail sector, which experiences increased instability. Despite the challenges posed by the health crisis, the majority of surviving businesses continue to operate in 2023.
