The European Commission has proposed to extend the derogatory regime of the octroi de mer until 2030, initially set to expire at the end of 2027. This decision aims to provide legal certainty to local businesses and support their competitiveness. Furthermore, twenty-two new products will benefit from a tax exemption, while annual modifications to the list of protected products will now be possible.
