The Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that this decision aims to suffocate the island, already suffering from a severe economic crisis. Shortages and power cuts are worsening, while the tourism sector, essential for the economy, is collapsing. The situation is exacerbated by additional sanctions imposed by the United States.
