A fire broke out overnight at the Maringouins landfill in Cayenne, quickly mobilizing firefighters. About 1,000 m² of waste is ablaze, but nearby homes are not threatened. Three rescue vehicles are on site to control the blaze, and firefighting operations are still ongoing. The causes of the fire have not yet been determined.
