The City of Saint-Denis has begun the rehabilitation of the former Jamaica landfill, an eight-hectare site. This project, funded by ADEME, aims to secure the site and protect the coastline from erosion. The rehabilitation will take place in three phases, from preparation to site enhancement, with completion scheduled for 2028. The initiative is part of a national plan to address historical coastal landfills.
