The New Caledonia Maritime Museum will be closed to the public for six weeks starting August 25 for renovation work. The director explained that the mezzanine floor, damaged by termites, needs to be replaced for safety reasons. This closure will also help protect the valuable collections and continue maintenance work in the museum's annex.
