In response to the fire risks on the Isle of Pines, a new collaborative monitoring strategy has been implemented. Local authorities, in collaboration with civil security services and customary stakeholders, aim to prevent fire outbreaks, particularly by raising awareness among the population to avoid burning green waste. The municipality is also working to improve access to sensitive areas to facilitate firefighters' interventions.
