The U.S. Southern Command recently intercepted and sank a vessel used by the Los Choneros gang for drug trafficking in the Eastern Pacific. The crew members were captured and will be handed over to Ecuadorian authorities. This operation is part of a series of actions aimed at combating drug trafficking in the region, in coordination with the Ecuadorian government.
