Blak Kofi musicians, Dean Williams and Alicia Knights, share their vision of music and identity as Trinidad and Tobago approaches its 64th independence anniversary. Their collaboration, born from an improvised session, fuses jazz, soul, R&B, and Caribbean influences. They discuss Alicia's return after 33 years in the United States and the importance of preserving musical traditions while innovating. A special performance of national songs was also presented.
