Two soldiers from the First Battalion of Infantry of Trinidad and Tobago rescued five civilians in distress at Blanchisseuse Beach. During a patrol, they spotted two children and an adult man in difficulty in the water. A sergeant used a life buoy from the beach, while a corporal dove in to assist them. All those rescued were examined and are doing well.
