On August 30, Brooklyn will host the first Trinidad & Tobago Independence Parade, themed "Our Culture, Our People, Our Freedom". Participants, both natives and descendants, will march to music, showcasing calypso and Caribbean culinary specialties. Festive events will take place in two parks, featuring family activities and musical performances. This celebration aims to honor the island's autonomy, achieved in 1962.
