Al Amin Khalifa Fhimah, acquitted after his trial for the Lockerbie bombing, has recently passed away. This tragic event caused the death of 270 people in 1988. Fhimah had been station manager for Libyan Airlines in Malta before the tragedy. His death was sadly announced by the company, which extended its condolences to his family. Furthermore, another man is awaiting trial in the United States for his alleged involvement in the attack.
