A 16-year-old student from R M Bailey High School lost his life after being struck by lightning on the school grounds. The incident occurred while stormy weather was affecting New Providence. Emergency services attempted to revive him, but he was pronounced dead shortly after. Worried parents rushed to the school, while psychological support measures were put in place for students and staff. An investigation is underway.
