Since the beginning of the transmission period, 65 indigenous cases have been reported in Greece, of which 54 presented severe neurological symptoms. Among these cases, six deaths have been recorded, all among elderly individuals. Authorities emphasize that the virus is circulating widely, with an estimated 140 infections for each severe case, indicating that severe cases represent only a fraction of actual infections.
