Malaysia is implementing an ambitious strategy to evolve its technology industry. The country is moving from assembly to the design of integrated circuits, in collaboration with ARM Limited to train professionals and facilitate access to advanced technologies. Four local entities are advancing to the design phase, while five others are benefiting from technological solutions. The production of the first chips is expected by 2030.
