On Monday, President Luis Abinader will inaugurate the 2026-2027 school year during a ceremony at the Espejo La Milagrosa Primary School in Santo Domingo Este. This event will mark the start of classes for the public education system, scheduled for August 24. The Ministry of Education has also added over 1,200 new classrooms to accommodate more than two million students this year.
