A family in Santiago is facing an unbearable wait for a medication essential for the treatment of their father’s cancer, diagnosed at an advanced stage. Despite repeated efforts with the High-Cost Medications Program, their request has been pending since May 2025. The situation is complicated as the patient has to resort to unplanned alternative treatments, further worsening his health condition.
