This year, the Route du Rhum - Destination Guadeloupe kicks off with 115 boats divided into six classes, ranging from Ultim to vintage. The Ultim, giant trimarans, promise a fast race, while the Ocean Fifty and Imoca, high-tech monohulls, are also expected to be competitive. The Class 40, with a wide range of participants, and the vintage boats, which include historic sailing vessels, add to the diversity of this transatlantic race.
