A 45-year-old man from Guyana has been detained after being suspected of attempting to illegally introduce cough syrup into Suriname. Intercepted at the Burnside checkpoint due to an invalid passport, he was found in possession of 53 bottles of Tussadryl. The individual was arrested and brought before the court after consultation with the public prosecutor's office.
