The devastating floods on the border between China and Nepal have claimed the lives of at least 1,287 people in Nepal, according to authorities. Additionally, 5,083 people are reported missing. In China, 21 deaths have been reported in Tibet, bringing the total to 1,308 dead. More than 800 foreigners, including hikers and pilgrims, remain unaccounted for. Bodies found in India may also be from Nepal.
