The 300-meter extension of Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) runway meets aviation safety requirements without harming the environment. The president of the Jamaica Airport Authority confirmed that the project, in line with the guidelines of the International Civil Aviation Organization, will not cause any rise in sea levels or flooding.
