Jamaica is preparing to welcome its first third-country nationals (TCNs) from the United States, following the finalization of operational procedures by both governments. The Minister of Foreign Affairs specified that 25 TCNs will be admitted every two weeks, with the support of the International Organization for Migration. This program, which excludes individuals with criminal backgrounds, will be suspended if a certain number of asylum applications are made.
