The Kingston and Saint Andrew Municipal Corporation has removed hundreds of non-functional vehicles from the roads as part of the Clean Kingston initiative. During a meeting, the mayor emphasized that while the removal is effective, managing the impounded vehicles poses challenges, particularly regarding storage and cost. Recommendations to amend current legislation will be proposed to improve the process for disposing of abandoned vehicles.
