A tornado hit the area of Pomas, between Carcassonne and Limoux, causing significant destruction. Roofs were torn off and trees uprooted, making some roads impassable. More than 100 firefighters, including urban rescue specialists, are mobilized for rescue operations. Approximately 2,800 households are without electricity, while shelters are opened for the victims.
