The Caribbean region is strengthening its presence in international discussions on the decarbonization of maritime transport. With crucial negotiations underway, Caribbean countries are seeking to influence the IMO's Carbon Neutrality Framework. Four key principles are proposed to ensure a just transition, support vulnerable ships, and encourage innovation while preserving local economic interests.
