The Iranian parliamentary commission has approved an article of an initiative aimed at establishing fees for maritime services in the Strait of Hormuz. These fees would concern navigation, environmental protection, and other services related to maritime transit. Payments could be made in Iranian rials or another currency. This project still needs to be voted on by the entire Parliament before being submitted to the Guardian Council.
