The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic has been ordered to compensate Consorcio Mendes Junior-Mendez Cabral in the amount of five million dollars for breach of a contract related to a piece of land from the former Herrera airport. The decision was made by the National District Court of Appeals after a lengthy judicial process. The consortium suffered losses due to the inability to exploit this land for nearly two decades.
