Water production from the Haina-Manoguayabo system has dropped to 21 million gallons per day, threatening the supply to over 100 sectors in Santo Domingo. This system, designed for 91 million gallons, is now operating at only 23% of its capacity. Service interruptions are increasing, affecting already vulnerable areas. The situation is worsened by the declining level of the Haina River and ongoing infrastructure rehabilitation.
