The First Instruction Court of the National District confirmed the preventive detention of Ángel Luis Guzmán Vásquez, accused of being linked to a corruption network that siphoned funds from the Seguro Nacional de Salud. The judge ruled that the reasons justifying this measure have not changed. Guzmán, a former employee of Senasa, is suspected of having participated in fraudulent medical authorizations. A review of the measure is scheduled in three months.
